Linking multiple scenes together

You can link multiple scenes together within one course. This allows you to create seamless learning experiences across large environments that do not fit within one single scene image.

How to add more scenes to a course

1. Sign in to Panomio and open your course.
2. Click the course button on the top left part of the screen.
3. Choose “Manage scenes” from the dropdown.
4. Click on “Add scene.”
5. Choose which scene you wish to add to your course and click “Add scene.”
6. Your course now contains multiple scenes.

Different plans have different limits on how many scenes they may have in a course.

After adding a second scene to a course, a small dropdown selector will appear at the top left of the screen whenever you are working within the scene (e.g. locating new hotspots). This selector allows you to quickly switch between the scenes of the course while creating the content.

Scene links

If you want your learners to be able to move between the scenes in a more immersive way, you can place scene links that teleport them to any scene you choose. This transforms the quality of the environment to new levels, as learners can now freely move through multiple scenes and get better overview of the layout and overall nature of the environment.

How to add scene links

1. Click the course button on the top left part of the screen.
2. Choose “Manage scenes” from the dropdown.
3. Click on the scene where you would like to add the link.
4. Click the “Add new link” button located on the right panel.
5. Place the link on the scene and click “Done.”
6. Choose the scene you would like to teleport the learner into from the dropdown selector, and you are done. You and your learners can now freely navigate between the scenes.

Tip:
If you link Scene A to Scene B, don’t forget to also link back Scene B to Scene A, to avoid getting stuck on a Scene B.
