Linear mode

Linear menu locks the menu, so learners must go through the course content sequentially from the first lesson to the last. Learners must complete the lesson before they can proceed to the next one.

This feature is useful if you want to make a strictly guided course experience, in which the course material relies heavily on knowledge learned in previous lessons.

To enable Linear mode, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Course Settings page by clicking on your project's name in the top left corner and select 'Course Settings'.
Locate the 'Linear mode' setting in the list and activate it with toggle

Free navigation in Linear flow

By default, Linear flow guides learners through steps in a set order. If you want to give learners more flexibility, you can enable Free navigation with the toggle. This allows learners to move through the steps of a Linear flow lesson in any order they choose.
